Hi Everyone. I like to show you my build of the old but still quite good 1/72 monogram kit of the Phantom F4-J. After experiencing a bad time in my lifecycle I decided to start with a special character aircraft. A needed a Marines, packed with armament that supports, in my reflecting, so I went for VMFA-232 "Red Devils".

After doing research, reading Vietnam-material, I bought a F.Verlinden revetment set from ebay, some weapon and ground equipment from Hasegawa. I put the 1/72 ground crew aside as this project consumed quite some time, these will probably show up in a new small diorama.

I mixed decals from CAM and Aeromaster. I printed the devils'fork fuel-markings myself (seen on F-4J nr.10, thought it would be a nice add to nr.18). Used Eduard MER, AIMs, Mks and some Northstar snake eyes with retarding fuses.

I personally would like to thank Kurnass77 for the Zuni pods who offered them as a free gift!
Hope you like the looks of this Red Devil.
