The Venezuelan Air Force
(FAV) initially bought 16 Bronco OV-10E, in 1973; later in 1991, 18 additional planes were
acquired. This aircraft proved to be very effective for COIN (counterinsurgency) operations. In 1992 they had a very active participation in the
military coup attempt, during which four Broncos were shot down, two of them by F-16A fighter
jets. In 2009, new four-bladed propellers were installed on the aircraft that
were still operational, and were used in surveillance & support operations.

To build this model use old Testors kit, in 1/48 scale, which is very poor in detail, however you can get very good results by adding many missing
details. The entire cockpit was totally scratchbuilt, including the two pilots’ seat, front and rear instruments panels; also, the wheels bays, all
antennas and radars, machine guns and others.
