This is a big kit! I really enjoyed building this model. It has plenty of detail I built straight out of the box. The interior is a beauty and it is a shame to close it, but I did not think I wanted to have an open top transport.

There were some areas of troublesome fit, but I think every kit presents its own peculiarities. Not even Tamiya has made the perfect kit yet. Anyway what would us modelers do without a challenging fit or assembly? Overall Revell’s kit is wonderful. The decals were pretty reluctant to conform to the corrugated surface, but with some perseverance and patience this can be overcome. A dose of laquer thinner may help the decals snuggle down a bit better, but I did not have the guts! I used the strongest decal softening solution available “Solvaset” and that helped a lot.

I had always wanted to build this kit and I was not disappointed in any way. I love the looks of it. I finished the kit in RLM 65 Light Blue, RLM62 Green and RLM 70 Black Green. The instructions call for a camouflage in RLM62 Green and RLM 71 Dark Green, but I found out that the contrast in between these two colours is very hard to discern. Their shades are very close to each other. My guess there is a typo in Revell's instructions. Well once again Happy Modelling!
