When the Tornado for TUDM modernization plan did not materialize In the early 90's, TUDM turn to purchased more cost effective package of 10 Hawk 108 and 18 Hawk 208 jets from Bae.

The Hawk 108 is a combat-capable fast jet trainer. Its improved combat wing have  7 hard points that include additional wing tip sidewinder missile rails, 4 under wing point that are capable of carrying various iron bombs, cluster bombs, rocket and cannon pods for light Strike role and additional 30mm Aden cannon pod can be carry on the center line pylon for additional punch.

Apart from the standard cockpit avionics, TUDM Hawk 108 also fitted with nose wheel steering, and FLIR unit at the nose cone, chaff and flare dispensers for self-defense was strategically fitted at a housing above the engine.

This model was build OOB with the addition of extra pair of pylon on station 2 and 6. The stencil marking decals are from kit supply and formation light taken from Italeri F-18 kit.  

Custom made decals include the Serial No, Square National Marking , Squadron Tailart and also the red cross No-Step marking on the flap. TUDM's Hawk was painted overall Air defense gray, I used Gunze Sangyo paint for this project and  Weathering job include Black pen panel line preshading and Chalk Pastel shading that I learnt from ARC folk.
