This is my Kittyhawk Mk.III (P-40M) finished in marking of famous RAF 112. "Shark" squadron. This particular machine served with this unit during 1944 in Italy. It was flown by Capt. Matt Mathias, who damaged a Fw 190F during an air battle over Rieti in April 1944.

Building the Academy kit was pretty straightforward, however I have decided to add more details and I used CMK resin cockpit set. The decals comes partially from the kit and partially from a complementary decal sheet included in Kagero book dedicated to 112. squadron's history. I used Aeromaster and Gunze acrylics throughout. The weathering was done using oil paints and silver pencil.

The Curtiss P-40 is one of my favourite aircraft, so I will add soon another one to my collection. This time it will be P-40B Tomahawk. Try to guess in which camouflage...
