I needed a diversion
from building Skyhawks, so I grabbed this little kit out of my stash for the
third or forth time, determined to tackle it. The plastic parts were very crude,
and took a lot of filing and sanding to get them usable. The photoetch, though,
was very nice. I built the skids and control sticks from electrical wire, and
added fuel lines, but everything else is OOB.

The canopy and litter windshields
are vac, which took a few dips in future to make presentable. The boom and
all the detail parts are metal, leaving only a few plastic parts like the
cockpit tub, rotors, engine block, seats, etc. It took me a while to get the
boom and main rotor built, with the help of my trusty Optivisor and tweezers!!
It came out much better that I
expected. My wife has latched onto it, and wants a display case to keep it on
her desk (she thinks it's "cute"). Hope you like it!!
Nick
