This was my first
Tamiya jkit, I built it 2001, What can I say about this kit? It is a very good
kit and I have the same kit in 1/48(that I still haven't built yet)
but to my surprise at the time when I built this, is the same that in scale
1/48, does not leave me wanting anything more. I was always a fan of this aircraft,
since my infancy, when I had the chance I did not think twice before building
it. This also was painted with automotive paint. This kit is also the first
one where I tried to use the techniques of drybrushing and washes and paint
chipping. Only I feel I have exaggerated the effect!!!

The base is made by
a company here of Brazil and is made resin and simulates the wooden deck from a
carrier from 1940.
This airplane was forgotten in
the bookshelf a friend of mine for 3 years, until I accidentally found it, and
brought it to my house, where added the base. That "BETUME" was
painted with a called ink (I do not know the translation of the name of the same
one for the English) that it simulates wood. The part more boat of the painting
of the base was to isolate to paint the metallic narrow channels.
