Another commission
build of something you would not catch me buying for myself in a million years.
A 1/48 Tamiya Mitsubishi Isshikirikko Type 11. Otherwise known as Betty. Its
your typical Tamiya shake and bake wonder kit. Very little putty required, just
the under fuselage. Building went rather quickly. Not all that many parts in the
grand scheme of things.

Only real hard part
was masking the 4.2 million windows on this sucker. That took me a while. Lots
of windows. Decals were truly awful. Complete with brown patches of mold on the
sheet. Decals took half an hour in HOT water and then had to be pried from the
backing paper with a scalpel blade. But that's the sheet the customer wanted so
that's the sheet he got.
In the end the
decals worked. But not without alot of tearing and patching up.
Innards are nice.....nice and
simple. But certainly good enough that after market stuff is not required.
Totally out of the box. Paint scheme is also a nice departure from my
usual modern greys.
