Hi everybody.
I've always
wanted to build a winter Russian airplane, so here is it... I've always felt
quite scared about winter scheme, so this is my first one. The model was
built OOB, this kit, just as all Classic Airframes it's GREAT, it came
with a bunch of resin parts for cockpit interior and some photoetched
parts. Builing this model was tricky though.

The colors
used were RLM 02 for interiors which I found very close to the Russian interiors in WW2, Russian Underside Blue for undersurfaces
and flat white for upper surfaces with some very light patches of light
gray mixed up with white.
I also used
artist oil colors for weathering, I mixed up a ton of tones for some rust
here and there, some wet and dried mud for some panels near to the
cockpit and earth tones for the landing gear bay and wheels. And of
course a lot of pastels, I just found out I'm a pastel addict now!
:-P
Well, hope you
all like this
white Mig, this is my very first "white washed" airplane so don't be
so hard with it. :-P
Just kidding... I await your
critical remarks, that's the only way we learn to improve ourselfs.
Greetings from
Monterrey, Mexico, land of the best "cabrito" (roasted goat).
Alfredo
