This is my first
attempt at a submission to ARC - please bear with me. I get considerable
enjoyment reading the daily updates, and finally got around to sending
something of my own in. Haven't built anything for almost 10 years and
then found Ebay, and have been trying to make up for lost time. So - onto
the kit.

The kit is
Trumpeter's Mig 17/ PLA F5A, each sprue lovingly separated in cello bags.
Small things excite small minds. Fit of all pieces was great, but be
prepared for a bit of dismay when it comes to the clear pieces - they
aren't the ones shown on the box, and I found a few other anomalies in the
box too. And if you are going to do it wheels down and standing on its
own, you will need an Atlantic sailfish size lead weight to keep it from
tail sitting. I went with an obscure paint scheme I found of a night
fighter version with a sand and spinach upper and black lower. I used blue
tack to make the worms, and then rattle canned the colours on. Didn't turn
out too bad.
I put in a couple of
different images to finish, including one in flight. Am working on a couple of
friends for the Mig now. Coming soon will be a Rhodesian AF Hunter, North
African Spitfire and Beaufighter, and Russian front 190 and Stuka. Thanks Steve
for hosting the site.
Stuart
