There isn't much
mystery to this one. It's a Scooter, what can you say? The original
Singaporean A-4s were converted C models into S models. Later upgrades
added the more powerful F404 engine and this some scoops here and there,
and the designation change to A-4SU. This is how they are in their current
guise, flying out of France for the RSAF.

The kit is built
completely OOB. No fancy work here, just a good quick and fun build.
The
Hasegawa A-4s are excellent kits, with a lot of 'preresearch' done
for you already. The instruction sheet indicates which holes need to be
filled, what scoops need to be added and even a plan for the blade aerial
on the tail, which I made form plastic card. Being that it's in the
instructions, it's still OOB ;-). The model was painted with Model Master
enamels, right out of the bottle, though I added a bit of Piping Pink to
the tan. Future for the gloss coat, followed by some slight weathering and
an overall Dullcote.
About 25 hrs, and
out comes a Singaporean Scooter! This kit was a blast to build, and I have
another on the bench already. They really do grow on you.
