The De Havilland Mosquito NF Mk XIX
was in service with the Swedish airforce as a nightfighter (J30) from 1948-1954.
The J30 was normally painted in standard RAF dark green/medium sea grey
camouflage, but the first 2 Mosquitos in Swedish service were aluminium painted on
delivery.
Inspired by Brian Pruitt and his fine Australian Mosquito in silverdope IŽll
show some pictures of my Swedish J30. I used the Eduard PE-set and made
the entrance hatch in the open position. The figures are Preiser and Airfix and the
ladder and the battery-wagon are scratchbuilt. Decals are from Flying
Colours. The display-base is an ordinary plastic flowerpot-tray turned
upside-down.
