Hello
all. Here is my Roden 1/32 Fokker Dr.1 as flown by some German Ace in WW1, Lt
Josef Carl Jacobs to be exact. I haven't seen one finished in this scheme
before, and to tell the truth I was happy to use it as a coat of flat black
didn't take much planning. As usual Tamiya flat dried flatter than any other
flat paint I have used.

The kit was
built almost OOB except for the two hold downs near the tail that I
fashioned out of wire, the wire that comes with Fruilmodel tracks to be
exact. There weren't too many issues during the build but I paid the price
for not 'Futuring' the model before applying the decals.. They didn't
silver, but the decal setting solution discoloured the marvellous Tamiya
ultra flat black paint and I had to go back and do some emergency touch
ups... Lesson learned! I also chanced using Gunze Flat Clear I had used
once before, the chance being that it could end up with the snow like
effect after it was applied that I got once before. But this time it
worked perfectly and I will be using it on all my models required a flat
finish from now on.
