This is the second
time that I'm posting an article on ARC.
I bought this kit
about 4 years ago and was disappointed by its humble condition and quality, I
threw this kit away to garage.
But recently, I
assembled a little bit of this kit and found something like possibility or
feeling of beauty, I started making the Mirage.
Well, it assembled
well, and I did not even use putty. It did not fit smoothly in the
intakes part, but with LOCTITE 401 I could make them fit. I used a
little putty on the broken head of the Super medium range missile.
On the radome, there are
some panel lines which active aircraft doesn't have. I think this kit
features an earlier or test version of the Mirage 2000. So I covered them with instant
glue and smoothed them with sand paper.

In painting and
marking, I selected special markings of the French Air Force which have a Tiger on tail
and a sexy woman on fuselage.
In 2 color
camouflage pattern, I needed FS 36375 for whole body, FS
35164 for darker part as the instruction sheet indicated. I just had FS 36375 as Mr
Hobby's 308, so I had to mix colors to get FS 35164. I mixed blue+ 307 + 115 on
my own manner. I don't know whether mixed color matches well. I sprayed 307 for
the radome.
I had some nerves on wide
panel line of the kit, but after painting, I think it doesn't look bad, actually
comfortable in highlighting panel lines.
I think Italeri aero kits have
images that have humble detail and good shape. This kit also has those
features.
My concern before making this kit
changed to satisfaction after finishing owing to its nice shape.
I hope all of you enjoy my Mirage.
Thank you.
