The
F-111 is an impressive aircraft and my favorite is this one, the RAAF “C”
version. I think this scheme is not in use anymore but I like it more than
the modern grey. It was a seven month project. The Academy kit is quite
basic but not bad, however I wanted to improve it because an F-111 is worthwhile
and there are enough aftermarket. These were the improvements:
-
Verlinden,
F-111 update set (with some modifications)
-
Scaledown,
long wings with flaps and slats
-
Aussie
Decals
-
Hasegawa,
pilot figure
-
From
scratch, wing gloves

I also
plan for the next summer the same F-111 version in 1/144 scale. It is my dream
that Trumpeter or Revell (or any other) release this beautiful bird in 1/32 scale
(WOW!!)
All
the pictures were taken in the garage. It was a good and sunny day.
