Here is my Revell P3
Orion, it represents a couple of firsts for me, one my first real go at
rescribing and two my first use of acrylic paints. I only managed to rescribe
about 90% of the kit I still have not got the hang of it. My recent purchase of a
bare metal scriber made the job easier. The compound curves are difficult
to do these are more evident around the engine nacelles, so I sanded
off all the raised detail in this area, and have represented them with
pastel chalks. The model was primed with auto paint then pre-shaded before the
final grey topcoat I used Tamiya acrylics for this. The model was then overcoated
with klear (future) floor wax, this gives a good barrier between the Tamiya
acrylic paint and my final enamel finish, after the decals had been
applied, I weathered the kit with pastels and sealed it all in with Humbrol
enamel matt varnish.

This kit has very few parts
and builds up really fast, this gave me the time to have a go at rescribing,
most of the panel lines are straight so its an ideal kit for a first
attempt at this black art.
The ARC website is an
invaluable tool for anybody looking to try anything new on their kits and
it helped me greatly with this build.
Cheers
