Not
often do you see an A-10 painted up in any kind of a show scheme but the
folks at the 118th FS of the Connecticut ANG have bucked the trend and
decided to do up one of their jets! This scheme was designed by
MSgt Jon Clark who is a training manager there at the 118th FS.
He
provided the Two Bobs with all the references on this scheme along with
the help of SrA Michael Stephens of the 118th FS. Mike's dad,
Mike Sr. along with ARC regular, Ken Middleton, got the Two Bobs all
"hooked up" and this is end result!
This
scheme is to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the 118th FS.
Back in the day they had a P-51D painted up in this scheme and they
thought it was high time to paint up one of their Hawgs in tribute.
Markings
are included for the entire jet to include all stencil data (including
pylons). Some of the tighter registration markings are broken
apart to ensure excellent registration when you put these decals on your
model.
This
sheet will be available in 1/32nd scale as well! Jon Clark has
already started banging away at his Trumpeter A-10 in anticipation of
the "sausage finger" release of this sheet!
