This new decal sheet from Yellow Hammer Decals includes markings for four F9F-Panthers with the USN including a Panther with the first US jet kill.

The first plane is a F9F-2 Panther plane # 113 "Sweet Violette" flown by Lt. H.C. Palmatier and LTJG M. J. Signorelli with VF-71 from the USS Bon Homme Richard off Korea during 1952-53.  This aircraft is blue overall with white script on the nose that reads "Sweet Violette".  Painting masks are included for the red on the nose of this aircraft incase you prefer to paint this instead of using the red decals supplied on this decal sheet.

The second plane is a F9F-2 Panther plane # 101 "PAPASAN" flown by LCDR J. M. Hill Commander of VF-71 from the USS Bon Homme Richard off Korea during 1952-53.  This aircraft is blue overall with white script on the nose that reads "PAPASAN".  Painting masks are included for the red on the nose of this aircraft incase you prefer to paint this instead of using the red decals supplied on this decal sheet.

The third plane is a F9F-3 Panther plane # 109 "PAPASAN" flown by LTJG Leonard Plog who scored the first USN jet kill (over a Yak 9) with VF-51 from the USS Valley Forge off Korea on July 3 1950.  This aircraft is blue overall with a red flash on the nose and tail.  Painting masks are included for the red on the nose of this aircraft incase you prefer to paint this instead of using the red decals supplied on this decal sheet.

The fourth plane is a F9F-2 Panther plane # 121 "PAPER DOLL" with VF-781 from the USS Bon Homme Richard off Korea during the fall of 1951.  This aircraft is blue overall with a red lightning bolt witha  white outline on the nose and wingtip fueltank.  This aircraft has multiple bombing mission markings.

The decals were flawlessly printed on 2 decal sheets.  A set of stencils is also included as well as painting masks.  The colours look good and will cover very well.  The masks are to assist you with doing the complicated nose markings if you choose not to use the supplied decals.  The instrutction sheets are easy to follow.

Meteor Productions also has a variety of resin detail and conversions sets for the Panther in 1/48.
