This decal sheet from Twobobs features
3 different F-22 Raptors from Elmendorf AFB way up north in Alaska. The
first thing I had to check out was whether ARC's favourite Raptor pilot was
featured on the sheet and I'm pleased to see that he is. The planes
included on this sheet are airframes # 05090, #05093, #05096 in Sept 2007 at
Elmendorf AFB with the 90th FS.
The 90th FS celebrated their 90th
anniversary in August of 2007. In its 90 years of existence, the Air
Force's fourth oldest fighter squadron was renamed 14 times and inactivated for
nearly two years in the late 1940s-early 1950s. Its members have flown biplanes,
attack and cargo aircraft, bombers, and fighters for the last 34 years. The
squadron "Pair-o-Dice" has had 41 home stations in its time. The
Dicemen have participated in many major conflicts, including World Wars I and
II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm/Shield and Operation Enduring Freedom.

website)
This decal sheet will be welcome
by all 1/72 jet aircraft modellers as it features the highly advanced F-22 of
the USAF. Aircraft #90 has shadows behind the "AK" on the sides
of the tails and the "90 FS" lettering. The two other aircraft
have the more lo-viz markings. You get 3 complete set of stencils and as
usual the decals are printed by Microscale, so you know you're getting very high
quality with years of decal printing experience.
I was impressed to see the "Diceman"
artwork of two "playing dice" on the tops of the tail as well as on
the side of the engine intakes although the markings are very lo-viz.

The instructions are clear and
include 4 views of each aircraft. The decals are beautifully printed on 1
decal sheet. Paint codes are called out in FS #'s, Testors MM,
Humbrol, Gunze Sangyo, Xtracolor and Xtracrylics. You also get 11 colour
walkaround photos of the real aircraft as well as one big photo of the F-22 in
flight with a F-15 above snow covered forested landscape.
Special thanks goes out to Maj.
Michael "Waco" Cabral and SSgt Mattie Hans for their help gathering
references for this decal sheet.
This is a much welcome decal
sheet of this very special jet and the inclusion of Waco's aircraft makes this a
must have decal sheet for all 1/72 jet aircraft modellers.
