This new resin conversion set by Maestro Models Conversions from Rebell Hobby includes all you need to convert the single seat 1/48 Airfix/Esci JA37 Viggen kit  to the Sk-37 or Sk-37E Viggen 2 seat version.  This is a major conversion that will require cutting the kit fuselage and inserting the rear cockpit/fuselage section.

This set deals with this conversion quite well.  For instance you get a pre-painted photo etch set made by Eduard that provides lovely detail for the front kit cockpit and the rear resin cockpit included in this conversion set.  This will make sure your front and rear cockpit have the consistent detail level and quality.  The fuselage section has recessed panel lines.  You also get 2 resin ejection seats with the resin seatbelts molded in.  There is a very decent level of detail on these seats and once painted, they should look very good.  You also get 2 control sticks, an antenna if you are building the Sk37E plus vacuformed canopies with canopy painting masks.  The canopies are clear and flawless.....you get 2 sets of canopies to permit you to make mistakes and still get the job done. A rear seat instrument panel coaming is also included along with pre-painted instrument panels for the front and rear cockpit.

The instructions are clear and include photos and text to help you with this conversion.  You also get 2 pages of coloured line drawing instructions for the Eduard photo etch part of this set.

Finally modellers wanting to build a 2 seat version of the Viggen have a very good option with this multi-media conversion set from Maestro Models Conversions.
