This new release from
Twobobs
celebrates the Centennial of Naval Aviation with heritage markings for both an
F/A-18C and F/A-18E from the Gladiators of VFA-106. Included in this decal
sheet is a full set of markings for both aircraft.
Each of the Twobobs
centennial products feature a 3" pressure sensitive sticker of the official
logo of the Centennial of Naval Aviation, which is perfect for a diorama base
for your model.
Twobobs has worked
directly with the US Navy as a licensed provider of decal markings to celebrate
this historic event and was the first decal manufacturer to receive a licensing
agreement with the US Navy!
The aircraft include
the following:
-
F/A-18C, BuNo
163745 with VFA-106 Gladiators from NAS Oceana, NC in December 2010.
The paint scheme is overall dark blue which reminds me of the aircraft
during WW2 in the Pacific with the special Centennial of Naval Aviation
patch painted on the side of the fuselage.
-
F/A-18E, BuNo
165666 with VFA-106 Gladiators from NAS Oceana, NC in December 2010.
The paint scheme is overall 2 tone light gray with the special Centennial of
Naval Aviation patch painted on the tail vertical stabs and yellow accents
on the rudders and fin flash.

This sheet does a wonderful job
of capturing these 2 specially marked Centennial of Naval Aviation F/A-18's and
it is a treat to see these released in decal form. I'm pleased to see
Twobobs is helping modellers capture these aircraft that honor the Centennial of
Naval Aviation.
I would like to thank Twobobs
for this review sample.
