This new decal
sheet from WINTERVALLEY
provides markings and stencils for Canadian Armed Forces CF-188's
(CF-18 'Hornets') as seen in the 1980s and during the first Gulf
War.
The sheet was
created using numerous references including Patrick Martin's excellent
bibles on the topic, Larry Milberry's various books, as well as personal
photo collections. Special thank you to Dan McWilliams and Emil Varosi for
their great help as well.
This sheet
provides all the major markings and as many of the RCAF specific
maintenance and warning markings as possible but it should be used in
conjunction with your kit decals.
You get one
complete set of stencil data including false canopy for the
underside. Plus you get grey plus black false canopies and you also get a full
selection of serial #'s that you can mix and match to create a specific
CF-188 that you prefer.
Plus you get
squadron markings for:
-
409 Squadron
-
410 Squadron
-
416 Squadron
-
421 Squadron
-
425 Squadron
-
433 Squadron

The instruction sheets
are
well laid out and easy to follow. The two water slide decal sheets are of
the highest quality and clearly printed.
I was very pleased
to se this decal sheet....one of the first models most Canadians build is the
venerable CF-188 and this decal sheet provides the ability to build a vast
selection of CF-188's.
This decal sheet is also available
in 1/32 and 1/72.
I would like
to thank WINTERVALLEY
for providing me with
this product sample.
