Eric Hargett starts today's update with his 26th model on ARC.  This is his flawless looking 1/48 Hobbycraft Messerschmitt BF 109B-2 the has been carefully modified, enhanced and detailed using parts from other kits, aftermarket detail items and Eric's high level of skill at detailing.  Eric has a sharp eye for getting everything right on his models and his early 109 is a special treat to behold.  You can see more of his models by clicking the link at the bottom of this article.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler has done a beautiful job repainting one of his  1/32 Silver Star CT-133.  Shawn dressed it up with markings from Leading Edge decals and finished it all off with a gentle weathering job.  Shawn has also included photos of his other T-33's in his article.  This Shawn's 263rd model on ARC.

Tahir Φzcivan joins with his first article on ARC today.  This is the 1/72 Revell F-16 MLU built out of the box and weathered to perfection  for a Belgium F-16.  I'm pleased to welcome Tahir to ARC and I hope to see more models from Tahir in the future.  This is a beautifully done F-16....I love the paint scheme.

Ole A. Hoel has done some exceptional old school scratchbuilt detailing on his 1/72 Airfix Bf 110 C-5 (old tool).   Ole also added aftermarket goodies from Eduard and Aeroclub and then finished it off with a great looking camo scheme.  It's good to see these older kits being given some old school effort.  Very nicely done Ole.

Aydin Sahin has been a member on the ARC forums for a long time and I'm pleased to finally see the first model from Aydin on the ARC homepage.  This is his 1/72 PM Hawker Sea Fury finished as a Royal Navy bird complete with weathering to complete this sharp looking Sea Fury.  Aydin showed his talent on this model with his tireless effort to turn this PM kit into a very very high quality model.  I enjoyed reading his article and see this Sea Fury and hope to see more from Aydin in the future.  Welcome to ARC Aydin!!!  

Mike Pattison has taken the classic 1/32 Hasegawa Me 262 and done a top notch job transforming it into an eye catching 262.  I particularly liked the camo job.  Mike is a talented modeler and you can see all his models on ARC by clicking the link at the bottom of his article.

United States Memorial Day.  

Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving  in the United States Armed Forces.


Lloyd Curtis made this very special diorama as a gift for his Dad.  Lloyd added interior detail to his 1/72 Academy PBY and then got busy making his beach diorama complete with tropical plants and crystal clear water.  Lloyd explains the build process in his article and how he created this eye popping diorama.  This diorama is amazing and looks very realistic.

Sean Langley added seamless intakes and some custom decals to create his sharp looking British 1/48 Hasegawa Phantom FG.Mk.1 mod.  This is Sean's 10th model on ARC and has a connection to his first model on ARC as you will see in his article.  This one is a beauty Sean.

Dragan Cvetic has done an exceptionally fine job on his 1/72 Revell F-16A.  Dragan started with the Revell F-16C kit and converted it to an A, then added seat belts and finished it to a very high standard in Jordanian markings.  His weathering job is perfect.


Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with a very colourful 1/48 Hasegawa CH-124 Sea King.   Shawn's Sea King has the markings for a 50th anniversary Sea King adorned with markings from Canuck decals.  This is one sharp looking Canadian Sea King.

Anniversary of the Chilean Navy and the anniversary of the Iquique΄s Naval Combat (South Pacific War, between Chile, Peru and Bolivia)

Miguel I. Becerril starts your update with his very impressive 1/32 Tamiya F-4J Converted to F-4N.  Miguel was a tech on the Phantom and this model is one that he hitched a ride in and is posed in-flight as it was refueling.  Miguel spent plenty of time on this big beauty and it shows in his photos.  This is his 3rd big Phantom on ARC and it looks exceptional from every angle.  I love it.

Hubert Louis is here is here with his first article on ARC to mark a special speed record moment in history.  This is his 1/48 JMGT Caudron C450 as it appeared on August 8, 1934, when Hιlθne Boucher broke a world speed record.  Hubert did extra scratchbuilding to his model and then created a highly detailed figure of this pioneering woman as she broke a world speed record.  This is quite the diorama and Hubert's article gives the history behind this event 81 years ago.  Beautiful work Hubert, welcome to ARC.

Tolga Ulgur is here with his beautifully weathered 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.1 K9955.  Tolga finished his Spit in the markings for  ayoung Scottish pilot that had much success during the BOB before being KIA in a dog fight in Nov 1940.  This another excellent model from Tolga and you can see more of his 79 models on ARC by clicking the link at the bottom of his article.  Tolga puts special care into each of his models and it is a special treat when his latest model appears on ARC.

Burt Gustafson joins us with his very attractive 1/48 Tarangus Saab JA 37 Viggen.  This is built using the new Tarangus Saab JA 37 Viggen kit in Swedish markings built with my care and careful attention by Burt's skilled hands.  This is Burt's 87th article on ARC and I love seeing his models on ARC.

Jens Gerber has done a spectacular job detailing and painting his 1/48 Revell/Eduard + scratch Fw 190 A8/R11.  Jens used a combination of aftermarket items and his own skilled scratchbuilding to create his Luftwaffe fighter complete with radar antennas on the wings.  I love how good the camo painting looks. 

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with one of the wilder looking Canadian Starfighters.  This is his big 1/32 Hasegawa CF-104 Starfighter using a mix of Leading Edge and Canuck along with some careful painting.  It certainly is an awesome looking paint scheme.  It look great on your display shelves Shawn.

Mike Pattison has done an awesome job creating his 1/35 Trumpeter Mil Mi 24 Hind in a What If Tigermeet scheme.  Mike used Eduard Photo Etch then created his own scratchbuilt details to detail the interior of his Hind, but the truly stunning part of his chopper is the eye popping Tiger Striped paint scheme.

Edward Boyd is here with his 4th model on ARC and what a great looking job he did with the classic 1/72 Frog Heinkel He162A.  Edward has done an excellent job on this classic kit.....I enjoy seeing his latest model on ARC.

Stephen A. Carr is getting things started today in amazing style.  This is his very creative 1/48 Spitfire IX Restoration Diorama which shows a Spitfire in the midst of the painting process during it's restoration.  I am very impressed with this diorama.....read his article to learn the creative tricks he used.

Paolo Re has done a spectacular job on his 1/48 Planet Models SIAI Marchetti SF 260 C.  Paolo tells the history behind this aerobatic aircraft and what was needed to create a model of it in these special markings.  I really like the look of this diorama.

Ian T.M. Holahan has done an amazing job painting and weathering his 1/48 Hasegawa P-39N.  Ian built this beauty out of the box, but it is the exceptional paint and weathering that really stands out on his Russian P-39.

L.C. Chan gets things started today with his very well done 1/72 Hasegawa F/A-18C & Fujimi F/A-18C.  L.C. has finished his Hornets in 2 different schemes with colourfully exciting noses. 


Colin Gomez has been busy getting the details right on his 1/48 Hasegawa F-8E Crusader.  Colin added a  scra6tchbuilt seat and photo etch to the cockpit.  He then shaded the panel lines to add realism creating an excellent looking Crusader.

Jean-Charles Goddet is here with a rare and special USAF Eagle today.  This is the 1/72 Hasegawa Boeing F-15E Tiger Meet 2005 built and finished to a very high quality.  This is Jean-Charles 33rd model on ARC and I enjoy seeing each of his models when they appear on the ARC homepage. 

Greg Kerry is here with another of his action packed dioramas from WW2.  This is his 1/72 Academy Ju-87G in the midst of bombing a convoy.  Greg is highly skilled at these very unique dioramas and this latest on is quite the well done scene.

Artur Domański starts this week with his stunning super detailed 1/32 Hasegawa Fw-190D9.  Artur used many aftermarket items and plenty of time and skill to create this amazing 190 Dora.  I was very impressed when I saw it and the paint work is perfect.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his 1/32 Hasegawa CF-104 Starfighter in the markings for 441 squadron bird back at the 1976 TAM meet in Europe using Canuck decals.  Shawn has a passion for Starfighters and he included photos of 5 of his Starfighters along with other Canadian jets.  Beautiful work Shawn.

Richard Nicoletti gets things started today with his 2nd article on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya Grumman F-4F-4 "Wildcat" as it appeared during WW2 on the USS Enterprise.  Richard built this beauty out of the box and finished it with Aftermarket decals for an Ace from the PTO.  An excellent looking Wildcat...well done Richard.

  Dragan Cvetic from Balkan Models is here with his 102nd model on ARC.  This is his 1/72 Zvezda MiG-21bis with scratchbuilt detailing in the cockpit, gunsight, pitot tube and landing gear.  Dragan wrapped all this stunning detail in a great looking camo scheme for a Bulgarian jet.  This is one very attractive looking MiG-21.

Lorenzo Cassinadri has done stunning detailing on his 1/32 Revell Arado Ar-196A-3.  Lorenzo added plenty of scratchbuilt detail to the engine and cockpit and finished it all off with a wonderful weathering job that brings this model to a very high level of realism.  Enjoy all the photos.....this one is stunning.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his 259th article on ARC.  This is Shawn's 1/48 Hasegawa A-4C Skyhawk in the glorious hi-viz from superscale Decals.  Shawn built this one for the Shelf Queens Group Build here on ARC as a jet from the now decommissioned USS Forrestal.  It's a great looking Scooter.

Sertac Bayar dropped by the ARC Corporate office in Turkey with his very attractive 1/72 Hasegawa F-16C Tigermeet 2010 TurAF.  Sertac dressed up the cockpit with seatbelts and then covered the intake with a special cover covered in Tiger Stripes.  The eye catching paint scheme is for a Turkish jet that attended the 2010 Tigermeet.  I love the tailart on this one.....it looks fantastic.

Artur Domański is here with his 3rd article opn ARC and what a masterpiece it is.  This is his 1/24 Airfix Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB in RAF markings between ground attack missions.  Artur added quite a bit of detail as you can and then finished off his Typhoon with the perfect amount of weathering and then created a diorama to display his stunning Typhoon with it's very detailed engine.

Gerd Wilcken joins us today with a particularly interesting 1/87 Airmodel 87 Do-27.  This HO scale Do-87 is a kit by a famous HO company and Gerd did quite the nice job on it and finished it in he markings for Fire Air Service Lower Saxony /northern Germany.  Gerd did a great job on his model and then finished it with a diorama of a relaxing pilot between flights on a hot summer day.  Very nicely done Gerd. 

Richard Nicoletti did a first class job on his stunning looking Korean War 1/48 Hasegawa North American F-86F-30 Sabre.  Richard dressed up the cockpit with a Quickboost Ejection Seat and then replaced the landing gear with a metal set from Scale Aircraft Conversions.  The Korean War USAF Sabres were colorful birds and Richard captured the look of the bare metal brightly marked Sabre beautifully.

Serge Dompierre did a magnificent job on his 1/48 Kinetic CS2F-2 Tracker complete with folded wings.  Serge chose the markings from Belcher Bit for a Canadian Tracker off a RCN carrier HMCS Bonaventure.  I love the look of this RCN Tracker with it's folded wings.

Aamod Potdar starts this special update in honor of their local club.  This is his 1/72 Zvezda Mi-8 finished with custom decals for a VIP machine with the Indian Air Force.  Aamod did a minor mod to get the details correct for this version of the Mi-8.  Congratulations on the Anniversary of your club.

Aamod Potdar has done a first class job on his 1/72 Italeri Hawk.  Aamod used custom made decals and modified the wing tips to make an Indian Air Force version of the Hawk..  I love the look of a Hawk in Indian markings.

Murli Rajan did a beautiful job on the baremetal finish on his 1/48 Hobbycraft Sea Fury.  Murli finished his Sea Fury in Cuban markings using custom made decals.  Beautiful work Murli.

Aamod Potdar is here with a very special and classic Indian Air Force jet.  This is his 1/72 Revell De Havilland Vampire finished using a combination of home made and after market decals.  The Vampire is a beautiful jet and it looks excellent wearing Indian markings.
