Kees Kuyper has pulled together a very cool project for Silly Week.  This is his Messerschmitt Seaplane with extra thought put into the smaller details.  This does look like it would be a rear float plane.

Carmel J. Attard is here with his Moynet Jupiter 360-6 in Canadian markings.  Carmel scratchbuilt this twin engined model and then finished it in What-if Canadian markings with a stellar weathering job.  It looks quite realistic.

Kees Kuyper is here today with his what-if 1/72 United Nations Osprey “white angel”.  Kees has included a photos that shows his photography set up, which is very cool to see.  I love the Osprey Kees.

Eugene Madara is a very creative modeler and this model is fantastic.  This is the "Air Force One" Space Shuttle used to transport the President to the secret off-world bases.  Check out the photos and Eugene's article for the full and amusing story.

Bill Arnold is here with the armor version of an "egg plane".  This is Bill's Meng Sherman Tank with added detailing and a flawless paint job.  No doubt about it....this one is VERY cool Bill.

Kees Kuyper has created one of the best looking gliders I have ever seen.  This is his 1/32 Duodiscus glider "The Tion" looking very sleek.  I love the look of it and the Dutch civilian markings.

Dave 'The Rat' Bailey is here with his second model for Silly Week.  This is his Indonesian Breguet Alize made from a Heller kit and what does Dave think of the kit......well you REALLY need to read his article for his comical opinion.  Good one Dave.

Kees Kuyper is here with a very creative what-if design.  This is his 1/72 Hobbyboss Bell-Fokker D-24 fantasy, which is a twin tail pusher fighter.  She's wearing Dutch markings and looks pretty good..

SteelWolf is here with a massive tank that never actually saw battle.  This is the 1/144 TAKOM Landkreuzer P1000 Ratte and it is like a small battleship of the land.  A very cool article and model and well worth checking out.

Kees Kuyper gets today started with 2 of his very creative designs for the 1/72 Revell Osprey "less complex".  One is an America bird and the other is a Dutch Osprey.  Read his article and check out his photos....I think his designs are loaded with very creative and realistic looking engineering.

Oxiel Carrizo has put quite a bit of effort into improving the detail on his F-16 Viper eggplane.  This F-16 is wearing Chilean markings and has quite a bit of scratchbuilt work done to it to make it more accurate and detail rich.  I love the in-flight photos of it.

Kees Kuyper has created a very cool looking 1/72 Hobbyboss Harvard/Texan on floats.  This is a Search and Rescue float plane of the Dutch Navy.  The floats came from a different kit but do seem to fit the Harvard/Texan very well.

Dragan Cvetic is here with a classic tank.  This is his 1/35 Tamiya T-55A Yugoslav Peoples Army with a flawless weathering job giving quite the realistic look.  I do admire the job he did on this piece of armor.

Here's a product article for the 1/32 MiG-29 Exhausts from ZactomodelsThis detail set is designed for the Trumpeter MiG-29 kit.

Kees Kuyper is here with a very funny what-if model.  This is his Mitsubishi Dinahsaurus, which is a Mitsubishi Dinah with the head of a dinosaur for the nose of the aircraft.  Kees explains this secret plane and how it was used during WW2.  I love it.

Ryan Gay joins us from Switzerland with his 3rd model on ARC.  This is his 1/24 Revell 1968 VW Käfer finished as a dirty daily driver complete with Swiss plates.  We all have memories of the early 70's VW Bug and it is a treat to see this one on ARC today.  Very nicely done Ryan.

James Maloney got creative with the digital camo on his "What if" Wolferine.  It's funny, but this little aircraft looks quite plausible.  Thanks for sharing James.

Kees Kuyper is here not with an aircraft....but a really fast ground vehicle.  This is his Lockheed Streetfighter of the U.S. Army.  Read his article for the full story.  This is a very creative concept.

Here's a product article for the 1/48 MiG-31 (Foxhound) Pitot Tube from Master.

Cuba  -  Anniversary of the Revolution

Haiti Independence Day

Sudan  Independence Day

Welcome to Silly Week 2018!!!  This is an ARC tradition to begin the New Year on a lighter note to help set the tone for a "Happy" New Year and to assist some people that might be falling into post holiday depression.  Pretty well anything goes except serious aircraft models during Silly Week.....so what-if and car and armour and motorbikes and figure etc are what you will see.  Enjoy and keep smiling!!!

Kees Kuyper gets Silly Week 2018 off to a fantastic start with his very creative 1/32 Revell Duodiscus glider “Flying Orange”.  Kees is a master kit basher and this beauty comes direct from his amazing design studio.

Dave 'The Rat' Bailey is an old time regular on the ARC Silly Week each January and I'm proud and excited to see him back here in 2018.  This is his North American T-6 Weta divebomber...think "baby dauntless" flown by Kiwi's and you are on the right track.  Read Dave's full story for the details

Bill Arnold is another regular to Silly Week.  He has a passion for egg planes and other such models.  This is his Meng Tiger 1 in true Egg style.  Bill shaded it and built it to the exacting standards you would expect on a model rich in accuracy and detail...and I admire that about Bill.  Click the link at the bottom of his article to see all of his models on ARC...you will not be disappointed.

Kees Kuyper has done some crazy kit bashing with his Douglas DC-3 and a half Superdakota.  Look carefully and you will see a bit of Fw 200 in this model along with a Dc-3 with a nose wheel and plenty of wonderful wild ideas.  Oddly enough...this reminds me of a Connie.
