Alacrán starts today with a beautiful 1/72 Hasegawa AV-8B.  Alacrán added Quickboost aftermarket detail to the cockpit, undercarriage. wheels, airbrake as well as photo etch from Eduard.  This Italian Harrier is wearing just the perfect amount of weathering....this one is a beauty.

Vjekoslav Ranec is here with one of the Pearl Harbor defenders.  This is his flawless 1/48 Academy P-36A Hawk "Pajama Party".  It was flown by Phil Rasmussen during the attack on Pearl Harbor and you can seem a pajama clad Phil Rasmussen figure climbing into the cockpit in this diorama.  This diorama is fantastic and captures that historic scene from so long ago.

Sebastian Manfre has sent in pics and an article of his recently completed 1/48 Hasegawa F-14B in VF-103 markings.  Sebastian  detail his Tomcat with a resin cockpit before giving his jet a 3 tone TPS camo scheme with fully and very realistic weathering.  I love those Jolly Rogers markings.

Martin Glogar has done a stellar job on his 1/48 Hasegawa Bf-109K4.  Martin added a resin cockpit from Aires and left the canopy open so show off all that wonderful cockpit detail.  The camo is for a late war 109 and it is quite the attractive paint scheme.  Beautiful work Martin.

USA Moon Landing  - First Human on the Moon  (1969)

Charles P. Kalina is here to honour this special day with his 1/72 Special Hobby A4b Rocket wearing "what-if" US markings.  Charles tells the full story of the real rocket....a manned V-2 and then he goes on to tell about his very creative model.  It does look like something that is quite possible and a very cool entry for the anniversary of the Moon landing 45 years ago.

Johan Elvin has put plenty of extra effort to build his 1/48 Tarangus SAAB J 32B Lansen to a very high level of detail and quality.  Johan did a massive amount of scratchbuilding and added detail sets from Maestro Models and further detailing from Eduard.  Then he wrapped up this amazing project with a flawlessly done gently accented paint job that further shows off this model in a spectacular way.  Everything is amazing on this Lansen.

Jens Gerber has created a masterpiece with his 1/48 Dragon / Revell Ju 88 C6.  Jens picked the most complicated camo scheme worn by the Ju 88 and did an excellent job on it.  He also added scratchbuilt parts to make his Ju 88 a night time radar equipped aircraft.  WOW....fantastic work Jens!!!

Richard S. Hayward added a resin cockpit and seat to his 1/48 Hasegawa F-8E VX-4.  The markings were custom made by Richard to give him a very colorful jet.  The deployed speedbrake, raised wing and dropped flaps show off his F-8 in a wonderful way.  This one is a treat to see.

Ed Fuquay has done a gorgeous job detailing and finishing his 1/48 Hasegawa SBD Dauntless.  Ed drilled out all the dive-brake holes before moving on to complete his classic WW2 USN PTO divebomber to a very high level.  It is a treat to see Ed's Dauntless on ARC.

Iraq Republic Day

Sajid Saeed Moughal joins us today with his first article on ARC and I hope to see more of his models on ARC in the future.  This is his beautifully finished 1/72 Tamiya P-51 Mustang wearing a flawless looking bare finish and the markings for one of the most famous Mustangs from WW2.  I love the look of this P-51...welcome to ARC.

Paul Coppin is here with his eye catching 1/48 Monogram A-4E Skyhawk.   Paul gave his Scooter a weapons load and drop tanks and finished it off in a hi-viz paint scheme from USS SHANGRI-LA.  This Monogram kit does build into a very fine looking model as you will see in Paul's photos.

Trey Andrews is here with his 1/144 Arii P3C Orion.  Trey built this one in 3 days for his wife.....3 long days, but the end result is fantastic as you will see in the photos.  Trey explains the process he used to make and weather the runway.  I'm impressed how detailed this model is considering it is 1/144 scale.

Mazlan Yusof has done a marvelous job building and finishing his  1/48 Frems Aermacchi MB339AMazlan finished his MB339 in the national markings for the Royal Malaysian Airforce (RMAF).  I like the camo scheme on this trainer.

Chris Parsons is becoming a P-51 fan and you will see in his article.   Chris is here with 1/32 to 1/144 Mustangs - Bottisham Four all flying in formation.  The 1/32 Mustang is the Tamiya kit and Chris has a very high opinion of that kit and his finished models turned out looking first class and the 4 of them flying in formation is a very cool idea.

Dragan Cvetic is here with his very attractive looking 1/72 Hasegawa F-15I Israeli Air Force.  Dragan dressed up the cockpit with seatbelts and then finished it off with a Israeli camo scheme complete with subtle panel line shading for add effect.  I love the look of the Israeli jets.

Gianni Chirico is here in style with his 1/72 Revell Messerschmitt Me-262 A-1a.  Gianni added seatbelts and brakelines and then gave it a very complicated camo scheme with just a careful amount of weathering to complete the look.  His 262 looks excellent from every angle.

Richard Boxem got all the details looking perfect on his 1/48 Tamiya A-1H Skyraider.  Richard gave his Skyraider a full weapons load and then chose a very colorful scheme to complete his model.  This is one very sharp looking Skyraider model.

France National Day

Bartosz Piotrowski is here to honour Bastille Day with his 1/72 Heller Mirage IV A.  Bartosz added seatbelts to dress up the cockpit and then finished it off in French markings to make it the perfect addition for today's update.  I love the paint work you did Bartosz.

José Miguel did an exceptional job on his 1/72 Cyber Hobby F6F-5N Hellcat.  José added Eduard photo etch to the cockpit to give it that extra detail and then gave the paint job the multi-shaded faded look of a Hellcat that did battle under the hot Pacific sun aboard the USS Independence in 1944.

Darius Aibara is here with one of the best looking paint schemes worn by a Mirage V.  This is his sharp looking 1/48 Academy Mirage V BR in a special Belgium Air Force paint scheme.  Darius did some extra work to convert this  recce bird Mirage III into a Mirage V and even upgraded parts of the cockpit for a better look. This one is sweet!!!

Jorge Bonilla Alvarado has taken the classic 1/48 Monogram P-39 Airacobra and built it out of the box to a very high level.  These older Monogram kit certainly build up nicely if you give them a tiny bit of effort.  Very nicely done Jorge.

Mongolia National Celebration Day

Richard Speckley has been busy getting his 1/48 Tamiya Fairey Swordfish Mk 1 looking just right.  This is a wonderful model kit and Richard did it justice.  His Swordfish is flawlessly built and the faded paint job looks very realistic.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his very good looking 1/48 Hasegawa F-18B Hornet.  Shawn built this beauty for a Group Build here on ARC and finished it in NASA markings and a splendid white paint scheme.

Yuval Kizner has done a gorgeous job detailing 1/72 Revell Do-335.  Yuval gave his Pfeil full engine detail for both engines which is quite the achievement in 1/72 scale.  The rest of the model is a beauty as well.

Bud Norris is a very famous modeller and this is his Three 1/48 Revell F-86Ds that appeared on ARC in the past.  This diorama represents a scene from his time at Naha AB, Okinawa, circa 1958.  It's always a special event if you ever get to see Bud's work and this Sabre Diorama is loaded with endless detail.

Invasion of Sicily - Allied Landings at Sicily in 1943

Carmel J. Attard is here with two 1/72 Matchbox-Revell FJ-4B Fury.  Carmel used some aftermarket items and his own highly skilled scratchbuilding skills to improve the detail on both of his Furys and then finished them off in some very attractive markings.  Both of these are a treat to see and his article is a treasure trove of helpful step by step info on building an 1/72  FJ-4B Fury.

Ian T.M. Holahan is here with his big and very impressive 1/32 Revell of Germany He-219 Uhu.  Ian chose a very complicated camo scheme with just the perfect amount of weathering to complete this night fighter.  I love the job he did on the cockpit.

Darius Aibara has done an exceptional job on his bare metal finish 1/48 Tamiya F-51 Mustang.  Darius reveals a very good technique to help you get that multi-shaded effect on your next bare metal finish.

Mauricio Castro is here with one of the most famous and best looking Mustangs.  This is his 1/32 Tamiya P-51D Mustang Cripes A’Mighty 3rd George Preddy in all it's wonderful glory with excellent detailing, flawless painting and full D-Day stripes.  It doesn't get much better than this.....sit back and enjoy each photo.

Fly-n-hi has added plenty of aftermarket goodies to his 1/48 Italeri IAF F-16C Barak.  The resin items included a cockpit, burner can, wheels and pitot tubes along with weapons from different sources and it was all pulled together with a big amount of patience and persistence to pull it all together into this stunning Israeli jet.  I love the look of the finished model....this one is a gem.

Moses is here with his big eye popping  1/450 Hasegawa IJN Akagi.  Moses added Eduard photo etch railings and then preceeded to build this WW2 Japanese carrier to a very high level of quality.  Moses is an exceptional modeller and it is always a special treat when one of his models is on the ARC homepage.

Shaun Bowman-Davies is here with his fully loaded and marvelous looking 1/72 Revell BAe Harrier GR7.  Shaun built his RAF Harrier with a weapons load that was used during the Gulf War and he finished it off with just the perfect amount of weathering to capture the true look of a British Harrier.
