India Republic Day

Australia Day

WW1 Events - this date in  1915

Murli Rajan gets this big and excited Indian Republic Day update started with his 1/144 Minicraft Caravelle.  Murli created all the markings himself with paint masking and custom decals.  This Indian Airlines jet liner looks fantastic posed on it's stand as an in-flight model.

Vinayak Dutt Shukla has done a first class out of the box built on his 1/72 Italeri IAF Jaguar IS.   Vinayak has included a wonderful selection of very artistic photos of his Jaguar at sunset and posed at his 1/72 airbase.  I really enjoyed seeing the photos of his Jaguar.

Ratish Nair has done a stellar job building his 1/72 Trumpeter Sukhoi Su-30MK.   He started with the Su-27 kit and then modified it to make his killer looks Su-30MK complete with photo etch to add further detail.  I love the paint scheme Ratish chose for this Indian Su-30.

Paresh Nair has done an amazing job on his 1/48 Academy MiG 21 Bis.  This Indian MiG-21 is sporting a very eye catching camo scheme which look fantastic from every angle.  Beautiful work Paresh.

Alexander Fernandes has done an exceptional job painting and weathering his 1/72 Zvezda MiG-21 bis.  Alexander used automotive paints and oil to paint and weather his Indian MiG.  Then he created a diorama base with scratchbuilt airfield equipment to better display his stunning MiG-21.

Leonard Prakasam is a long time regular here on ARC and I'm pleased to see his taking part in this special update.  This is his eye catching 1/48 Academy MiG-21 FL (Fishbed-D) Type 77 in an aggressive looking striped camo scheme with a subtle weathering job to add more realism.  Excellent work Leonard.

Ratish Nair has done a first class job on his tiny 1/72 Aeroclub Folland Gnat F. Mk. 1.  Ratish rewroked some of the details and good the model flawless before giving it a perfect bare metal finish.  It's good to see his Gnat on ARC on this special day.

Amrith M Punja his got everything looking perfect on his 1/144 Trumpeter Ilyushin IL-76.  Amrith used aftermarket and custom made decals to finish his Indian cargo plane in all the glory of the full sized aircraft.  The Ilyushin IL-76 looks good in Indian markings.....good job Amrith.

Aamod Potdar is here with a very colourful 1/72 Academy MiG 23 MF.  Aamod chose a brightly coloured target tub scheme that served with the Indian Air Force and then used a combination of aftermarket and custom made decals to finish his MiG 23.

Ratish Nair is here today to honour India with another of his 1/72 Trumpeter Sukhoi Su-30MK.  Ratish added photo etch to improve the detail of his very attractive Indian Su-30MK.  He then added a diorama base and crew ladders and even 2 figures to complete the sceme.  It is a treat to see his Su-30 on ARC on this special day.

Alexander Fernandes has reworked the details on his 1/72 Zvezda Kamov 28 to make his Indian Navy Ka 28.  This included adding rivets to his model and even thinning the rotor blades for added realism with excellent results.

Ratish Nair finishes this update in style with his 1/72 Condor Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25RU.  This is the recce version used by India in all it's glory.  I'm pleased at how well this MiG-25 looks.
